Switching control

The Telensa PLANet system provides comprehensive control for both on/off switching and setting variable lighting levels (dimming). With these capabilities the main benefits are:

Flexibility

When it comes to setting switching, the system provides considerable flexibility, including:

Grouping
Lamps can be grouped according to their switching profile (unlimited number of groups)

Switching methods
Lamps can be programmed to switch or change brightness state according to:
  • absolute time type - at a set of day e.g. 05:30am
  • relative time type - at a set time relative to calculated solar daily events (sunrise, sunset, civil twilight start, civil twilight end) e.g. 10 minutes before sunrise
  • measured light type - at a particular value of a light meter reading from one of the systems central light meters e.g. 20 Lux

Days of week control
Lamps can be programmed to switch or change brightness state according to different days of the week, so for example it is possible to modify lighting in certain areas at the weekend, from the weekdays.

Calendar control
Lamps can be given two different programmes and calendar days specified in advance for when the programmes come into effect, so for example, seasonal adjustments or special occasions can be accommodated.

Override switching
In addition to normal programmed switching, it is possible to control switching of lamps by direct command from the user interface, so for example, if lamps are currently off they can be instructed to switch on straightaway.
