Monitoring

The Telensa PLANet system provides comprehensive monitoring and measuring for each lamp in a population. With these capabilities the main benefits are:

Comprehensive measurement

The system is extremely comprehensive in terms of the range of parameters that can be measured and also the ways in which monitoring information is returned to the user. Each telecell contains a metering chip that provides accurate measurement of energy consumption.

Measurable parameters
A wide range of parameters of the lamp/ballast can be measured and reported, including:

Lamp condition Electrical Energy Time Mains supply
lamp switch times voltage active power switching times number failures
lamp failure current cumulative energy cumulative burning low voltage
lamp cycling power factor
lamp day-burning

Flexible reporting

There are three ways in which measurable parameters can be reported:

Programmed monitoring
Each telecell can be programmed to take measurements at given times of day, and on different days of the week.

Polling
From the user interface, any set of telecells can be interrogated for any measurable parameter at any time.

Alarms
Telecells can be set to generate alarms when various threshold conditions are met e.g. on lamp failure
