Services

Telensa provides a complete range of services as part of a total system solution:

Network planning
For multi base station deployments it will be necessary to undertake network planning prior to deployment. This process can be performed by Telensa using advanced radio network planning tools. Network planning will ensure the best configuration of base stations with respect to geographic and capacity related considerations.

Installation
Installing telecells is a quick process of replacing a photocell by contractor engineers e.g. as part of regular maintenance. For new lighting schemes telecells can be installed directly in new lanterns from the factory. Installation of base stations involves fixing radio and antenna on brackets on a column or building rooftop.

Training
Telensa provides training for users of the system to help ensure that the capabilities of the system and its operation are fully understood and exploited. Training is done at two levels: firstly for users and operators and secondly for network/IT engineers to be able to support the continuous operation of the system.

Support
Telensa supports customers using the system with levels of phone support and call out engineers, which can be tailored according to particular customer requirements. As part of a support package it would be expected that Telensa will have remote communications access to the infrastructure parts of the system.

Maintenance
The software of the infrastructure parts of the system (base stations and central system) is maintained by Telensa according to specific service level requirements.

Hosting
Telensa generally offers its system so that customers can host, manage and operate the system on a day-to-day basis themselves. Alternatively, Telensa can also host the central system and play a more active role in the day-to-day running and management of the system with its network operations centre, according to service level requirements.
