The Role of Smart Streetlights in Transforming Parks and Ports

Safety

Dynamic lighting controls ensure optimal brightness exactly when and where it’s needed for safer environments.

Operations

Monitor park conditions with real-time data on lighting performance and adjust settings for events, activities, or emergencies.

Sustainability

Eco-friendly lighting solutions that minimize power usage and protect dark skies and natural habitats.

Smart Parks, Stronger Communities

Parks are vital spaces for recreation, relaxation, and fostering connections with nature, serving as the heart of community life.

However, managing parks efficiently while ensuring public safety and meeting operational demands can be challenging, especially with limited budgets and resources.

Telensa transforms your park into a smart, efficient space in no time, utilizing your existing infrastructure to enhance safety, streamline operations, and support community wellbeing.

Associated British Ports deepens its commitment to the environment with Telensa system

The Port of Southampton is the UK’s number one vehicle handling port, handling 850,000 vehicles per annum. As Europe’s leading turnaround cruise port, it welcomes around two million passengers annually and is home to the UK fleets of the largest cruise line operators in the world. It is also home to the second largest container terminal in the UK. This mixed range of activities require different lighting policies at different times. Telensa has added smart connectivity to 600 lights, which are connected into the central management system.

What our customers say

The Telensa facility has proved invaluable during the last 18 months where cargo volumes have fluctuated due to supply chain variability. We have been able to light individual zones, adapting the lighting in line with the type and level of activity taking place, and make substantial energy savings of 15% by controlling the light output of compounds based on usage.
