Company responds to accelerating global demand for its Smart City applications, as it reports 90% annual revenue growth and profitability
Cambridge, UK – September 5th 2017 – Telensa, the global leader in connected street lighting and Smart City applications, today announced the appointment of Sue Thexton as Chief Sales Officer (CSO). Sue has a proven track record of growing businesses internationally, and will take command of Telensa’s global sales organisation as it ramps to meet accelerating demand for its Smart City applications.
Sue has previously led significant business growth for several global software companies, including Macromedia and Adobe. More recently, she built the team that grew Brightcove’s EMEA and LatAm cloud-based video business, and launched the global sales strategy for V-Nova, a privately-held video compression technology company.

Telensa recently filed its financial year 2017 accounts, which show revenues of £23M and a profit of £3M. The company’s revenues have grown by 90% since 2016, and are 3x those reported for 2015.
